UPDATE: 2024 will see a new Green Roof Shelters website developed and launched.
This case study is of a rebuild, working alongside Duncan at Green Roof Shelters to update the site I built for them a few years ago. It’s always a joy working with them. As designers themselves they know exactly what they want but leave it to me to find the best way of implementing it.
It’s fascinting to see how their business has developed since the original website was launched. How their initial ideas and products have evolved to meet the objective of increasing [or even introducing] biodiversity into some very unhelpful and restricted environments. Also meeting the market requirements in a tight economic situation. The products are intended to be combined with other green infrastructure measures. Thus the small oases of biodiversity that these shelters and other products provide can play a significant part in greening urban areas.
